UTO History

UTO was first established in The Union of Myanmar by U Thein Lwin (son of U Than Ohn who established trading of monk’s robes and accessories) , a simple merchant who founded one of the first few companies in the country after its independence.
1964
UTO was nationalized due to the emerging Socialism in Myanmar.
We had to cease out our international commercial links abruptly and trade within the limited boundaries of the strict Socialist government.
